Niall is an actor, improviser and writer. He improvises comedy onstage with the Comedy Store Players, Paul Merton’s Impro Chums, Impropera and with Ross Noble.
Recent theatre work includes: Little Match Girl and Other Happier Tales (Shakespeare’s Globe/UK tour), Tristan and Yseult (Kneehigh), The Secret Keeper (Ovalhouse), Annie Get Your Gun and Public Enemy at the Young Vic, Lifegame (Improbable), Never Try This At Home (Told By An Idiot).
On TV he’s done such stuff as Whose Line Is It Anyway? Dark Angel, Outnumbered, Chambers and Parents.
His writing/performing includes: Hungarian Birdsong and Tunnel Vision for BBC Radio 4; two series of Losers for BBC Radio 4; three series of Confessions for BBC1; a weekly Robbo column on BBC Sport Online website; Barking for Channel 4; poetry and prose for BBC Radio 3’s The Verb and Nightwaves.
He teaches improvised performance and techniques to students and businesses when asked.
Niall will be playing Henry Purcell on 3-5th May and 17th June.
