Jenni Harper recently completed the Artist Masters course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, for which she was awarded a Distinction. She holds a First Class degree in Music from the University of Birmingham and is a Britten-Pears Young Artist. She studies singing with Kate Paterson.

Jenni recently performed the roles of Euridice, La Musica and Speranza for Brighton Early Music Festival’s production of Monteverdi’s Orfeo, directed by Thomas Guthrie. Jenni also sang the role of Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea with Hampstead Garden Opera in May 2017.

Jenni has also covered Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel for Midsummer Opera and performed the role of Cobweb and covered Tytania in Surrey Opera’s production of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Minack Theatre in Cornwall. She also sang Œnone, Matelôte and Une Bergère in Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie with Linden Baroque.

Concert highlights in Autumn 2017 included singing the Soprano solos for Handel’s Messiah with Dover Choral Society; Mozart’s Vesperae de Dominica and Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the London Pro Arte Choir and Bach’s Weinachts Oratorium with the Croydon Bach Choir and Eclectic Voices. Other solo experience includes Bach’s B Minor Mass, Jauchzet Gott and Ich Habe Genug, Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Coronation Mass, Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Purcell’s Ode to St Cecilia.
